2011 Outstanding Alum

Century College's 2011 outstanding alum, Tim Deis, was a speaker at graduation on Friday, May 13. Deis is a co-founder of the St. Paul brand, design and interactive firm Go East.

Deis spent three years in the NE Metro Technical College (now Century College) graphics program. Following graduation, he worked at Art Visual, a small graphic arts studio in St. Paul. In 1988, Deis and his business partner, Ric Pace, bought out the owner and the firm later became Go East.

Go East celebrates its 20th year in business this year. Clients include many 3M brands such as Post-it, O-Cel-O, Scotch Brand and Thinsulate. Other clients include United Hospital, Allina Medical Clinic, GE Capital Solutions Fleet Services, Macy’s, Smead, Target, Travelers and Century College.
