Depending on the content to be learned, subject matter experts (SME) can come from Century College
and its Minnesota State Colleges and Universities affiliates, or the subject matter experts may be from your organization or industry.
The job of the SME is to bring the content knowledge to the project. The SME works closely with the instructional designer and script writer
to ensure that the right content is delivered to learners.
The SME will be involved from the start of the project through the final script approvals. In some cases, the SME may be involved in a
consulting capacity for final development, including video and audio recording.
