Dwight Kotila

Dwight Kotila begins his 5th year as Head Baseball Coach at Century College, and 18th season overall as a head coach (531-194-1 .732). Century College added baseball to its Intercollegiate sports program in 2011, and in just 4 years the program has already become a national championship contender.

In Coach Kotila’s previous 17 seasons as a head coach, he coached 3 different NJCAA baseball programs to 8 appearances at the NJCAA World Series (Century - 2013 – National Runner-Up; Ridgewater - 2008; 2007; 2006; 2005 – National Runner-Up; 2003; 2002; Riverland CC - 1998). Coach Kotila's teams have won 10 divisional championships and 8 Region XIII championships. Coach Kotila has been named NJCAA Region XIII Coach of the Year 8 times. He has had 4 former players drafted, and has had over 200 players receive scholarships to play at four-year schools ranging from NCAA Div. I, II, and NAIA.

In addition to his duties at Century College, Coach Kotila serves on the NJCAA Executive Baseball Committee, and has been the Head Baseball Coach for USA Athletes International for the past 9 summers. As the Head Baseball Coach for USA Athletes International, he helped guide the USA Athletes team to 1st place finishes at Great Barrier Reef Tournament and the Australian Baseball Classic played in Cairns and Gold Coast, Australia. He also coached the USA Athletes baseball team to 1st and 2nd place finishes at the Rouen Open in Rouen, France, and 1st place finishes in Holland and Aruba.

Coach Kotila is the Director of Athletics at Century College and also teaches in the Physical Education/Health/Sport Management Department. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) in Education, and Masters of Science Degree (M.S.) in Physical Education and Sport Science, from St Cloud State University.
