David Palmer
Background
David Palmer heads the Soccer program after an extensive playing career at the Division 1 level. A White Bear Lake native, Palmer
was a four–year varsity letter winner in soccer for White Bear Lake High School.
Coach Palmer received his Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) in Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin-Green
Bay, and works in the Century College Marketing Department as a Graphic Arts Specialist.
Collegiate Playing Career
As a goalkeeper, Palmer began his collegiate career at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis (NCAA D1) and concluded
his career at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (NCAA D1). During his time at UW-Green Bay, he helped the team reach
#4 in the NSCAA Great Lakes Regional Rankings and #24 in the NCAA National Rankings.
Palmer stayed on as a volunteer goalkeeper coach for the Green Bay men’s soccer team after his eligibility was
exhausted.
Century College Coaching Career
David Palmer begins his fourth season as the Men’s Soccer Coach in 2012.
In his first year (2009) as Century’s head coach, he led the Wood Ducks to the NJCAA Region XIII championship game
and garnered 3 All-Region Team award winners. In his second year, he led the Wood Ducks to a third place finish
in the NJCAA Region XIII tournament and garnered 2 All-Region Team award winners.
In 2011, Coach Palmer led the team back to the NJCAA Region XIII Championship game.
