ITT Alumni Reunion Update
"ITT and Business: An Integral Partnership"
On Thursday, June 19th, 46 ITT alumni, students and faculty gathered at the Century College Kopp Center to celebrate the ITT 10 year (+) Alumni Reunion.
After networking over sumptuous appetizers, ITT faculty member Scott Simenson and former College President Larry Litecky told the Century College ITT Program story, and about the effort and serendipity behind-the-scenes. Alumni Toby Lillibridge later spoke about his experience as a returning adult student and how his ITT degree led him to excellent employment opportunities. He offered words of encouragement to those looking for work. Tony’s advice… Network, Network, Network!
Last, Foundation Executive Director Jill Greenhalgh introduced the goal to raise $25,000 for the new “ITT Executive in Residence” Program. When the goal is met the fund will support having a visiting prominent ITT industry leader to campus each year to educate, inspire and mentor ITT students.
Century ITT grads enjoy the reunion.

2014 Outstanding Alumni of the Year
Carl Thomas, Lancer Automotive
Carl Thomas graduated from Century College in 2004 with an Automotive Service Technologies and Applied Arts and Science Degree. After graduating,
Carl continued to broaden his education with more specialized training. Among his many accomplishments, Carl was the youngest Automotive Service
Excellence (ASE) Certified Master Technician with an Advanced Drivability Certificate in the history of ASE.
At the age of 27, Carl purchased his father’s automotive repair shop, Lancer Service Auto Care in Saint Paul, MN.
Now in his 30’s, Carl’s business thrives with 10 employees and more than 2,400 satisfied customers. Committed to his industry,
he still finds time to serve on the boards of multiple organizations including AASP, MNSSA, Skills USA, Century College and St Paul Technical
College Advisory Committees.
Carl told us, "I was very fortunate to have grown up as part of an industry I have a large passion for. Century's instructors and staff
helped fueled my passion and prepared me for the upcoming challenges. That education and experience minimized my obstacles
and allowed me to excel when facing new and uncomfortable situations. For that, I am truly grateful. "
