Century College Employee Orientation
Overview: The Century College Human Resources Department saw a need to move
from live small group employee orientation to online orientation for new employees. Because the project
was so well received, it has evolved into an ongoing reference source for state policies and regulations
for all Century employees and now provides orientation for new employees and a reference portal for use by all employees.
Audience: New and existing Century employees.
eMagine Role: Collaborated with Century management and subject matter experts to create
instructional design, develop script, locate appropriate images, shoot and edit video, design user interface,
and develop content in flash files for complete eLearning tutorial.
Delivery: This course is available within the Century College Desire2Learn (D2L)
Learning Management System to all Century College employees.
Results: One eLearning module with basic lessons including Discrimination & Harassment,
Fraud Awareness, and Zero Tolerance, and containing a reference portal to MnSCU and Century policies and employee
handbook information. Each interactive tutorial includes self-check questions and tracked assessments.
