At the completion of the program, you will be awarded a certificate.
A transcript of all completed continuing education courses will also be available.

Certificate objectives

In our program, you will:

  2. Expand your awareness of culture-related factors influencing communication and behavior.
  3. Develop a comprehensive knowledge base of intercultural communication concepts and skills.
  4. Become a skillful and interculturally sensitive team member.

Certificate requirements

Level 1 – 24 hours, Level 2 – 48 hours

Courses can be taken in any order.

  • Developing Cultural Competence at the Individual
    Level – 3 hours
  • Developing Cultural Competence at the Organizational
    Level – 3 hours
  • Intercultural Communication Strategies – 3 hours
  • Intercultural Tools and Techniques – 3 hours
  • Generational Diversity in the Workplace – 4 hours
  • Intercultural Conflict Style Assessment – 3 hours
  • Becoming a Skillful Intercultural Trainer – 3 hours
  • Customer Service Skills for Global Business – 4 hours
  • Strategies for Volunteering with Non-Native English
    Speakers – 3 hours
  • Special Topics class: to be determined – 3 or 4 hours
