For non-fire department students, special online work and case studies will be created that will relate to their specific discipline.

Project Management for Public Safety - This course prepares students to manage projects of varying sizes and difficulty, such as specifications writing, managing grants, and technology procurement. Students will receive a copy of Microsoft Project® and work with it during the course.

Vehicular Extrication – This class follows the NFPA 1006 Standard and can be offered at a basic or advanced level over two four-hour classes. The first session involves basic and advanced tool applications using the host department's extrication equipment including demos and lots of student hands-on training. Day two involves realistic real-time scenarios using personnel assigned to companies. Vehicles are deformed and positioned to increase the level of difficulty.
