This course is designed to prepare medical personnel to become certified to operate basic x-ray equipment
in medical clinics.
It is an intensive, seven-week course covering radiation safety and how to properly
position patients for x-ray exams.
Requirements
Students should already be familiar with medical terminology, human anatomy
and physiology, and be current in the medical field.
After completion of this course, students must pass an exam offered by the
MN Department of Health in order to obtain certification.
NOTE: This course is not part of a radiologic technologist
course, nor is it a prerequisite for a radiologic technologist.
