If you plan to continue your education at Century, make sure you update your major on your graduation application.
Transferring to another college
If you plan on transferring to another college after graduation, your loans will continue to be deferred only if you continue to attend college at least half-time (6 or more credits).
Your loan repayment will begin six months after the end of your final semester or from the time you are enrolled in less than six credits.
That six-month period is known as your “grace period.” However, only one full six-month grace period is available. If that has already been used, payments are expected immediately upon leaving school or dropping below half-time enrollment.
If you have student loans,
there is a required Loan Exit Counseling session to complete at www.studentloans.gov.
If you have multiple federal student loans, you may want to consider Direct Loan Consolidation. More information on consolidation is available at https://loanconsolidation.ed.gov. To find all of your federal loan information, go to www.nslds.ed.gov. Be sure to educate yourself as to your best options for repayment.
