Sign up for a tutor
Please Note: You MUST have your Century Student ID to use all services in the Support Centers.
Come to the Academic Support Center (W.2461) or East Campus Student Support Center (E.2523) and make an appointment with a tutor.
Tutoring sessions
In order to get the most out of your tutoring session, you can prepare by:
- Reading the assignment – or if it is very difficult, try to read it.
- Bringing the assignment and course syllabus with you so the tutor can see them.
- Doing your homework or exercise – or if it is very difficult, start it.
- Telling the tutor the one main thing you would like help with.
Please note that peer tutors are not permitted to do any of your work for you, including:
- reading to you
- suggesting words to use in a paper
- doing your assignment
- teaching you the content because you have been absent.
Absences from class
If you have been absent:
- Talk with your instructor during office hours.
- Get notes from a classmate.
- Do the reading.
- See a tutor.
