Safety Procedures
Take the following precautions during a suspected gas leak:
- Call Campus Security at 651.747.4000 or the Physical Plant staff, 651.779.5809, East Campus or
651.773.1723, West Campus.
- Open doors and windows.
- Leave the area immediately, do not use fire alarm or elevators, and keep others out of the area.
Do NOT:
- smoke in the area
- use any electrical devices such radios or telephones; they can cause sparks which
can ignite the gas
- turn lights/electrical appliances on or off
- use the fire alarm
