Foundation

Time. Talent. Money. These gifts make opportunities available to many of our students, and help make our campus and our community a better place to live — today and tomorrow. Together, we can change lives.

History and mission

Since 1973, the Foundation has promoted commitment and financial support to the college. In 1996, the Foundation's name was changed from Lakewood Community College Foundation to Century College Foundation, to reflect the consolidation of Lakewood Community College and Northeast Metro Technical College.

Our mission is to help transform and enhance the lives of our diverse student population by providing educational opportunities, financial support, and advocacy – one student at a time.

The Century College Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to providing financial support to the students of Century College. The Foundation also accepts private gifts and donations.

Foundation goals

  • Remove barriers to higher education with encouragement and monetary assistance for students who experience financial hardship.
  • Recognize academic achievement and potential.
  • Supply financial resources to support new college program initiatives to offer students a vital and innovative curriculum with relevant content and methodology.
  • Encourage involvement and philanthropic support from friends and businesses in the community as well as from alumni, retirees, and Century College faculty and staff.
  • Broaden and deepen partnerships with industry to develop opportunities and access to the newest technologies and equipment.

Board of Directors

A volunteer Board of Directors comprised of community leaders governs the Foundation. We select members based on their dedication to higher education and their commitment to strengthening the mission of Century College.
