We are excited you are interested in attending Century to continue your education! Our orientation team has provided you with the Online Orientation option. Depending on your major, if you have completed college level credits at another institution, you may be eligible to complete the online orientation.

NOTE: If you choose the online orientation option, you are declining the chance to meet with an advisor to discuss transcripts or course selection before the semester begins. If you need help choosing courses, we recommend an on-campus orientation.

Faculty members from the technical programs are excited to meet you in person to provide you with in-depth information. That is why they make it a requirement for you to attend an on-campus orientation. You’ll leave orientation more familiarized with the program!

Online Orientation:

For those who qualify (see below), online orientation is an option for transfer students. If you have specific questions about transfer courses and credits or need to meet with a counselor or advisor, please make a reservation to attend an on-campus Registration Session.

Online Orientation Requirements

Before you will be allowed to view Century’s online orientation, you must complete the following requirements:

  • Official Transcripts

If you plan to complete a degree/program at Century and in order to transfer credits and courses in to Century, you must provide an official college transcript(s) from each college/university you previously attended. Transcripts must be mailed to/dropped off at the Transfer Student Services Office in a sealed envelope directly from the college/institution. Student copies and faxed transcripts are not considered official.

Plan ahead, as it may take up to two weeks to receive a transcript from another college/university or institution.

All official transcripts should be mailed to:

Century College
Transfer Student Services
3300 Century Avenue North
White Bear Lake, MN 55110

To verify whether your transcripts have been received at Century, call 651.779.3908.

If you have attended or are currently attending a Minnesota State College or University, please see the MnSCU eTranscript information below.

  • Unofficial Transcripts

Credit totals will not be entered into your student record from an unofficial transcript. An official transcript is required for credits to be entered into your student record.

If you do not intend to complete a degree/program at Century, you are a visiting student at Century (plan to take a course(s) to transfer back to the college/university you are currently attending) or plan to take just a few courses, you may provide an unofficial or student copy of your transcript(s) from each college/university you previously attended to determine if you meet Century's assessment testing requirements and course prerequisites.

Unofficial transcripts are not retained by Century College once you provide them.

  • Assessment Testing for Transfer Students

All transfer students must meet Century's assessment testing requirements for Reading, Writing, and Mathematics and course prerequisites prior to registering for courses at Century College. Students transferring college-level courses in English, Math and Reading or who have earned an Associate of Arts or Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited, United States college or university may not need to complete some parts of the assessment. To verify if you need to complete assessment testing or meet a course prerequisite, contact Transfer Student Services at 651.779.3908.

To determine if you have completed transfer coursework that would waive you from completing all or part of the assessment tests, you must provide your transcript(s) from the college or university you previously attended.

Transferology Will My Credits Transfer Credits

Prior to orientation, you may review how some of your courses or credits will transfer to and from Century College through Transferology.

Hundreds of college and university courses, Advanced Placement, CLEP, and International Baccalaureate credits are accessible through Transferology.

MnSCU eTranscripts

If you have attended or are currently attending one or more MnSCU institution, not including the University of Minnesota, and have applied to Century College, your official transcripts from that MnSCU institution may be electronically retrieved by Century College. Please contact the Transfer Student Servics Office, 651.779.3908 to verify if your transcript can be retrieved electronically.

There is no cost for this service. Transcripts will not be able to be electronically retrieved if you have holds on your records from the MnSCU institution you previously attended including, but not limited to, unpaid balances. It is your responsibility to ensure that your records are free of holds in order for institutions to send or electronically retrieve your academic transcript.

Notify Century: You must notify Century's Transfer Student Services Office when your records have been cleared for retrieval.

Online Orientation Sign-up Process

Once your transcript(s) is received, you will receive an email with a link to view Century’s online orientation. Please note that the process may take up to two weeks if sending your transcripts from another institution. Please read the confirmation page at the end of the online orientation, as it contains important information about when you will be allowed to register for classes at Century. If you choose to complete the online orientation, you will be declining the right to meet with an advisor for course selection. If you need help choosing courses, please sign up for an on-campus Registration Session.
