ACE Program

Modeled after national program

The Century College ACE program is modeled after an extremely successful national program centered in Phoenix, Arizona. This program, called ACE; The Achieving a College Education Program, is located in ten different U.S. colleges and serves students in 37 different high schools. Each year, thousands of students are served by these ACE programs.

Designed to reduce high school drop-out rates

The first cohort of students in the ACE Program began in the summer of 1988. The initiative was launched to battle the large high school drop-out rates in urban high schools.

Similar drop-out rates exist in the Twin Cities metro area. During the past three years, more than 40 percent of students who enter the ninth grade do not finish high school on time.

Strong track record of success

ACE programs have a strong track record of success in preventing students from dropping out of high school and attending college. We have already seen those successes with our PACE students!
