About the Program


Century's Interior Design program will help you develop a strong foundation of skills in drafting, product knowledge, color, design, estimating, codes, sales and writing specifications. In addition, we weave "sales and presentation" content into all of our courses, along with specific sales courses. We'll teach you the elements of great design as well as teach you how to sell and market your products and services.

Program Prerequisites


  1. Assessment score placement in MATH 0030 or completion of Math 0010 with a grade of C or higher; assessment score placement in ENGL 1021 or completion of ENGL 0090 with a grade of C or higher for those without prior higher education. Those individuals with prior higher education/college credits may be exempt with proof of course completion; official transcripts for all prior colleges must be sent to the college for exemption evaluations.
  2. INTD 1020 Drafting for Interior Design and INTD 1040 Elements of Interior Design with a grade of C or higher are prerequisites for many Interior Design courses. Students should register for these 2 courses in the program as soon as possible. INTD 1040 is only offered in the Fall Semester. Please plan accordingly.
  3. Students must provide their own personal laptop for the Interior Design program. Please coordinate with the Interior Design department faculty to confirm your computer can run the computer aided design software needed for class prior to purchase.
  4. All new Fall 2013 INTD students must attend the Mandatory Interior Design Class on Thursday, August 22, at 6:30 pm in the Interior Design classroom, room E1311.
