Accessing Resources Off Campus

Bright yellow flowers are blooming in front of the Library/ Science building on the East Campus.

Off-campus access to electronic books and reference sources is available through the Century Library proxy to currently enrolled students, faculty and staff. Simply click on the OneSearch tab on the Library Homepage and select the Databases A-Z link.

When you are conducting research from off campus and link to an online library database from the Library Web site or use a link to a full-text article from an online course, you will be prompted to log on using your StarID username and password.

Problems logging in? Call the Library at 651-779-3968, or email Ask a Librarian.

“Page cannot be displayed” or “Page cannot be found” errors

This usually happens when you are trying to access the research databases from your work or another place where they have a firewall that is blocking access to the proxy server. If you are trying to access the databases from home, this message can mean that your browser security settings are too high or you have a personal firewall blocking access.
