The Addiction Counseling program is designed for career opportunities in entry-level positions in the field of chemical dependency counseling. You will be prepared for the written examination, which is required for state licensure.

The Automotive Body Technician Diploma program is designed to expose students to all facets of the auto body industry: unibody and frame, computer estimating, damage analysis, refinishing and major structure repair.

The Automotive Service Technician Diploma program prepares students to perform automotive repairs in the following areas: engine repair and diagnosis, cooling system, emission control, computer systems, fuel injection, engine performance maintenance, air conditioning and automatic transmission/transaxle.

The awards available in Communication Studies, including a Certificate and an AA (part of the Minnesota Transfer Pathways) prepare students for the demands of communication-rich workplaces.

The Cosmetology program provides you with an affordable education to prepare you for an exciting career in the Cosmetology industry with particular focus on nail care, skin care, hair styling, coloring, cutting, and more.

This program helps prepare students for the rigors of the criminal justice profession and advancement of knowledge of the criminal justice system. Program curriculum includes criminal law and procedure, policing, investigation, corrections and juvenile justice.

The Dental Assistant program is designed for career opportunities as a dental assistant in private dental offices, HMO clinics, public health institutions, dental supply and insurance companies, military dental services, and dental school clinics.

The Education program provides both the foundation for upper division coursework for those planning to become teachers, as well as opportunities to earn either a certificate or associates degree in Paraeducation. Complete the Elementary Education Foundations or Special Education Transfer Pathway Degree for transfer to a Minnesota State university.

The Century College Emergency Medical Service (EMS) program began in 1972 with Minnesota's first state-approved EMT program, and the following year, we offered one of the region's first paramedic programs.

This certificate will prepare the entry-level Emergency Medical Technician, or EMT, for direct employment in an emergency ambulance service, basic transport service, an emergency room, police department, security department or fire department.

The Exercise Science Transfer Pathway AS degree offers students a powerful option: the opportunity to complete an associate degree that will directly transfer to designated Exercise Science bachelor’s degree programs at Minnesota State universities.

The Facilities Maintenance Engineer program prepares students to obtain employment as a commercial building maintenance engineer. Courses and training incorporate classroom and hands-on instruction, preparing students for employment in a wide range of commercial facilities, including office buildings, hotels, hospitals, community centers and college campuses, with emphasis given to advanced facility systems, automation, controls and energy management.

Students can study History as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree (60 credits) and part of the Minnesota State Transfer Pathway degrees, leading directly to a Bachelor's degree.

Persons working in horticulture may also be self-employed. The Horticulture department offers a variety of awards including certificates, diplomas and degrees.
