  • Arts and humanities pathway icon.
    The Academic English Proficiency Certificate recognizes non-native English- speaking students for study in multiple discipline areas leading to proficiency in academic English, communication skills, and discipline terminology which will assist them in succeeding in personal, educational, and professional goals.

    The Automotive Body Technician Diploma program is designed to expose students to all facets of the auto body industry: unibody and frame, computer estimating, damage analysis, refinishing and major structure repair.

    The Automotive Service Technician Diploma program prepares students to perform automotive repairs in the following areas: engine repair and diagnosis, cooling system, emission control, computer systems, fuel injection, engine performance maintenance, air conditioning and automatic transmission/transaxle.
  • Social and behavioral sciences icon.
    The awards available in Communication Studies, including a Certificate and an AA (part of the Minnesota Transfer Pathways) prepare students for the demands of communication-rich workplaces.

    The Cosmetology program provides you with an affordable education to prepare you for an exciting career in the Cosmetology industry with particular focus on nail care, skin care, hair styling, coloring, cutting, and more.
  • Arts and humanities pathway icon.
    As a Creative Writing student at Century College, you can explore fiction, poetry, screenwriting, and creative nonfiction in a supportive community. The English-Creative Writing Certificate offers preparation if you wish to study Creative Writing at a four-year institution, but also complements career goals which demand skills in editing, critical thinking, and cooperation. This program provides a concentrated course of study in creative writing as part of the AA, AS, or AFA Degree of your choice.

    The Dental Assistant program is designed for career opportunities as a dental assistant in private dental offices, HMO clinics, public health institutions, dental supply and insurance companies, military dental services, and dental school clinics.

    The Century College Emergency Medical Service (EMS) program began in 1972 with Minnesota's first state-approved EMT program, and the following year, we offered one of the region's first paramedic programs.

    This certificate will prepare the entry-level Emergency Medical Technician, or EMT, for direct employment in an emergency ambulance service, basic transport service, an emergency room, police department, security department or fire department.
  • Arts and humanities pathway icon.
    Century's English as a Second Language (ESOL) classes are not just for college students; many students take ESOL classes for career and personal advancement. Students can study ESOL as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree (60 credits) or for a certificate.
  • Social and behavioral sciences icon.
    The Exercise Science Transfer Pathway AS degree offers students a powerful option: the opportunity to complete an associate degree that will directly transfer to designated Exercise Science bachelor’s degree programs at Minnesota State universities.

    The Facilities Maintenance Engineer program prepares students for employment in residential office buildings, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, community centers and commercial facilities with emphasis given to advanced facility systems and computerized maintenance management systems.

    Century College's Gender Studies program will help you learn about yourself as you explore new ways of looking at the world and reflect on your beliefs, values, actions, and relationships. Students can pursue Gender Studies as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree (60 credits) or a certificate.

    The Global Studies Certificate provides a multi-disciplinary approach to understanding the interdependence and interconnectedness of people and nations around the globe.
  • Industry pathway icon.
    Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology, commonly called HVAC, is the service and installation of heating and cooling equipment. The main emphasis is on domestic, with some instruction on light commercial.

    At Century College, knowledge gained from history can provide new insights and perspectives to help you understand yourself and the role you play in humanity. Students can study History as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree (60 credits) and part of the Minnesota State Transfer Pathway degrees, leading directly to a Bachelor's degree.

    Nationally, horticulture is a major employer and includes jobs in garden centers, greenhouses, grounds maintenance firms, park systems sports complexes, and private grounds. Persons working in horticulture may also be self-employed. The Horticulture department offers a variety of awards including certificates, diplomas and degrees.

    This Certificate is designed for individuals seeking employment in direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse in long term care, acute care and/or home care settings.
  • Health sciences pathway icon.
    Paramedics possess the highly skilled techniques of advanced life support and emergency care procedures. The Paramedic program major meets the criteria for the education of paramedics as recommended by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

    Utilizing traditional plaster casting and 3D scanning technology, students learn to modify, or fabricate footwear to help people maintain or regain as much mobility as possible.

    Century College's Health and Physical Education department offers a variety of courses to give students contemporary and applicable skills. Students can study Physical Education as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree (60 credits) or complete the Exercise Science Transfer Pathway Degree, which guarantees transfer to a Minnesota State university.

    Our courses at Century focus on psychology as a scientific discipline. Students can study Psychology as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree or with guaranteed transfer options through the Transfer Pathway.

    Sociologists study how groups influence the behavior of individuals, as well as how individuals influence each other and the larger society. Students can study Sociology as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree or Sociology Transfer Pathway Degree, which guarantees transfer to a Minnesota State university.

    The Associate in Applied Science Degree will convey the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful in traditional and renewable energy fields.

    The Century Theatre Arts Department prepares you to enter the exciting world of theatre (or theater) and entertainment. Students can study Theatre as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree (60 credits) or an AFA as part of the Minnesota Transfer Pathway, leading directly to a Bachelor's degree.

    Earning a Basic Welding Certificate will prepare students for entry level positions in the welding industries.
