The 3D Modeling and Animation AAS degree prepares students for 3D content development careers throughout a variety of industries including Game Development, Film and Visual Effects, Forensic and Medical Animation, and many others. This program provides the comprehensive skills of 3D animation, modeling, texturing, visual effects, concept art, and character rigging that can be used in a variety of applications. Emphasis is on providing the valuable technical, conceptual, and design skills necessary for those wishing to obtain a position as a 3D artist.
Century’s accounting program prepares you for a variety of positions, from an entry-level job as a clerk to a manager in an accounts payable, accounts receivable or payroll department. The Accounting Transfer Pathway Degree has been carefully designed so that you can transfer to a Minnesota State university to earn a bachelor’s degree.
This program prepares students to work as applied digital technologists in industries where manufacturing processes utilize systems of control and automation. Graduates of the Additive and Digital Manufacturing program may develop and test industrial process control systems, supervise the building and testing of prototypes including 3D printing and bioprinting, and work in the rapidly growing IoT (Internet of Everything) field.
The Associate in Fine Arts Degree (AFA) is a two-year transferable degree that empowers and prepares students for the rigor of a four-year Art or Design Bachelor of Fine Art or Bachelor of Art Degree. The AFA Fine Art degree curriculum resembles the first two years of a baccalaureate Art or Design degree at a 4-year college or university ensuring smooth transition to our transfer partner institutions. The Automotive Service Technician Diploma program prepares students to perform automotive repairs in the following areas: engine repair and diagnosis, cooling system, emission control, computer systems, fuel injection, engine performance maintenance, air conditioning and automatic transmission/transaxle.
Chemistry courses at Century help students learn about the structure of atoms and molecules, the states of matter, and the principles of chemical reactivity, as well as how scientists think. Students can pursue Chemistry as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree (60 credits) or complete the Chemistry Transfer Pathway Degree, which transfers to a Minnesota State university.
As a Creative Writing student at Century College, you can explore fiction, poetry, screenwriting, and creative nonfiction in a supportive community. The English-Creative Writing Certificate offers preparation if you wish to study Creative Writing at a four-year institution, but also complements career goals which demand skills in editing, critical thinking, and cooperation. This program provides a concentrated course of study in creative writing as part of the AA, AS, or AFA Degree of your choice.
From atmospheric processes, geologic principles, oceanography, and the energy systems that drive them, students gain new insights and understanding of the world through Century College’s Earth Science courses. Students can pursue Earth Science as an AS degree or as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree.
The Education program provides both the foundation for upper division coursework for those planning to become teachers, as well as opportunities to earn either a certificate or associates degree in Paraeducation. Century’s English Department offers a range of courses to meet your academic and transfer goals, including: literature, creative writing, and composition. All students are valued, so we work to provide the academic support that is right for you. You can study English as a Transfer Pathway Degree and you can also pursue an English-Creative Writing Certificate.
The Facilities Maintenance Engineer program prepares students to obtain employment as a commercial building maintenance engineer. Courses and training incorporate classroom and hands-on instruction, preparing students for employment in a wide range of commercial facilities, including office buildings, hotels, hospitals, community centers and college campuses, with emphasis given to advanced facility systems, automation, controls and energy management.
Century College’s Gender Studies program will help you learn about yourself as you explore new ways of looking at the world and reflect on your beliefs, values, actions, and relationships. Students can pursue Gender Studies as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree (60 credits) or a certificate.
The Graphic Design & Production Program at Century College prepares students to use a creative design process to develop ideas into clear and purposeful communication that informs, markets and promotes. Using a hands-on approach, students develop the skills and confidence to take a variety of publications from concept to finished product. Projects include corporate identity, packaging, publishing, advertising, signage, and information graphics.
This program provides students a broad base of general education coursework relevant to the field of health sciences, in preparation to transfer to a broad array of health sciences majors at a college or university. This degree program is designed to fulfill health science baccalaureate requirements at all Minnesota State system universities offering related degrees.

In this hands-on educational program, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the attitudes, thoughts and feelings of working as a human services generalist and gain direct experience with human service consumers and agencies through internships and class experiences. Students are able to transfer to universities both within and outside of MinnState for their BSN degrees or advancing degrees.
