Each of the six Century College Academic Pathways provides you with special learning opportunities and activities, along with personalized guidance from an academic advisor or counselor.   • Arts and humanities pathway icon
    The Academic English Proficiency Certificate recognizes non-native English- speaking students for study in multiple discipline areas leading to proficiency in academic English, communication skills, and discipline terminology which will assist them in succeeding in personal, educational, and professional goals.
  • STEM pathway icon
    This program prepares students to work as applied digital technologists in industries where manufacturing process utilize systems of control and automation in manufacturing. Graduates of the Additive Digital Manufacturing program may develop and test industrial process control systems, supervise the building and testing of prototypes including 3D printing, and work in the rapidly growing IoT (Internet of Everything) field.

    As technology advances, our culture continues to generate more and more data. This phenomenon has been called “Big Data” and analysts are needed to convert Big Data into usable information that helps people make decisions.

    Students can study Art as part of an Associate in Fine Arts Degree (60 credits).
  • STEM pathway icon
    Biology examines life at the molecular, cellular, organismal, and environmental levels. Students can pursue Biology as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree or as part of a guaranteed Transfer Pathway program.

    Career Studies courses provide students with decision making abilities to be successful in education, industry and life. Students can pursue Career Studies as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree (60 credits).
  • STEM pathway icon
    Chemistry courses at Century help students learn about the structure of atoms and molecules, the states of matter, and the principles of chemical reactivity, as well as how scientists think. Students can pursue Chemistry as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree (60 credits).

    Students can pursue Chinese as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree (60 credits).
  • STEM pathway icon
    This degree starts the student on the path to becoming an information systems professional. Coursework is designed to develop your analytical and problem-solving skills, in conjunction with gaining broad-based, hands-on programming experience and proficiency.

    This program introduces students to the skills related to the analysis, design and development of information systems.
  • Arts and humanities pathway icon
    As a Creative Writing student at Century College, you can explore fiction, poetry, screenwriting, and creative nonfiction in a supportive community. The English-Creative Writing Certificate offers preparation if you wish to study Creative Writing at a four-year institution, but also complements career goals which demand skills in editing, critical thinking, and cooperation. This program provides a concentrated course of study in creative writing as part of the AA, AS, or AFA Degree of your choice.

    Century College's Cybersecurity and Cloud computing program prepares students for careers in Cybersecurity, information assurance, computer incident, investigation, cyberspace ethics and computer law.

    From atmospheric processes, geologic principles, oceanography, and the energy systems that drive them, students gain new insights and understanding of the world through Century College's Earth Science courses. Students can pursue Earth Science as an AS degree or as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree.

    The Associate in Science in Engineering is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a baccalaureate degree program in one of the following engineering fields: aerospace, biomedical, bioproducts & biosystems, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, geological, material, mechanical, and general engineering.

    In the Engineering CAD Technology Associate in Applied Science degree program you will use Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CAD) systems to create engineering drawings. Emphasis is placed on mechanical drafting standards, components and design for manufacturing.

    Century's English Department offers a range of courses to meet your academic and transfer goals, including: literature, creative writing, and composition. All students are valued, so we work to provide the academic support that is right for you. You can study English as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree (60 credits) and you can also pursue an English-Creative Writing Certificate.

    Century's English as a Second Language (ESOL) classes are not just for college students; many students take ESOL classes for career and personal advancement. Students can study ESOL as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree (60 credits) or for a certificate.

    The Enterprise Computing Technology program prepares the student to be able to analyze enterprise organizational information needs, to recommend appropriate hardware and software systems, and to implement or to train others to implement such systems.

    Humanities is the study of the creative contributions made by individuals from many cultures throughout history. Students can study Humanities as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree (60 credits).

    The Individualized Studies awards include those that are undeclared, students that have earned some credits but did not complete an award, transfer students with credits that may not have equivalent Century credits, students that wish to explore more than one program, and student with experience that may result in credit for prior learning.

    This broad-based program of liberal, technical, and professional studies will prepare students for intelligent, effective, self-development in a complex and continually changing society. The Information and Telecommunications degree is designed to allow students to focus on a specialized area within the Information Technology field.

    The scope of mathematics at Century College is broad, stretching from prehistoric times to the frontiers of cyberspace. Students can study Mathematics as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree (60 credits).

    This program is a focused, two-year study of music that includes music theory, ear training, sight singing, music history, the study of a specific instrument or voice, and ensemble participation.

    Century’s Reading/Student Success Department offers quality courses designed for students to develop and use effective reading and college success strategies that will help students be more effective, efficient and successful in college and beyond. Students can study Reading as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree (60 credits).

    Learning a foreign language gives you a window into cross-cultural understanding by providing you with a fundamental tool: the ability to communicate directly with speakers of other languages. Students can study Spanish as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree (60 credits).

    The Century Theatre Arts Department prepares you to enter the exciting world of theatre (or theater) and entertainment. Students can study Theatre as part of a Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Degree (60 credits) or an AFA as part of the Minnesota Transfer Pathway, leading directly to a Bachelor's degree.
