    The Power of YOU program is designed for eligible students to attend college at no cost.

    The program covers the cost of tuition and fees for two years or up to 72 credits at Century College, Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC), or Saint Paul College through state and federal grants and private scholarships.

    Power of YOU supports as many eligible students as possible based on student need and funds available for the program. Advising and support services will be provided to help students succeed in college.

Eligibility

To qualify for the Power of YOU program at Century College, you must:

  • Qualify for federal financial aid
  • Not exceed the family adjusted gross income cap of $75,000.
  • Graduate from one of the following schools in 2017:
    • Irondale High School
    • North High School (North St. Paul)
    • Mounds View High School
    • White Bear Lake High School
    • Tartan High School

Steps to Apply:

The deadline for applications is May 1, 2017. We will accept students as they apply to the program, until we fill our cohort. Therefore, we encourage all students to submit their application materials and contact us with questions.

  1. Apply for admission.
    The online priority deadline was Monday May 1st. If you are still looking to apply to the program, you will need to submit a paper version of the  Power of YOU Application. Mail the completed application to Century College: Century College, Attn: Admissions, 3300 Century Avenue North, White Bear Lake, MN 55110. Note: Final high school transcripts must be submitted immediately after high school graduation.
     
  2. Complete the Financial Aid process.
    Submit the 2016-17 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) using Century College FAFSA school code: 010546.
     
  3. Take the Assessment Test
    Prior to Power of YOU acceptance, you must complete Assessment Testing. You will receive details on Assessment Testing via email following the submission of the application.
