Often referred as “open enrollment,” our individual classes offer a wide variety of subjects and options throughout the year. Individual classes are perfect for students only needing training in a particular subject area.
A professional certificate can take your career to the next level or assist beginning a new one. Registering in one of our certificate programs can expand your expertise in a subject area. While all continuing education classes receive a certificate of completion, certain subject areas offer classes leading to an industry certificate.

OSHA 10 Training - Monday, December 11 & Tuesday, December 12 (8:00am-1:30pm)
The General Industry Outreach Training Program is intended to provide an entry level worker’s general awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards in a general industry setting. OSHA 10 cards will be provided to students upon successful completion of course.
In this course, you will learn the basic art of conflict management, look at conflict management from external, internal, and global perspectives, and workshop conflicts collaboratively by apply the concepts we have learned to develop potential management models.
Learn the tools necessary to coach someone from start to finish! This course will cover setting up the right environment for coaching, goal setting, giving and receiving feedback, establishing check points and reviewal. Today’s workforce trends increasingly require leaders to use coaching strategies with their team members. As an in-class activity, participants will use the GROW model to design a personalized coaching plan.
How do you look your best in a virtual world? This course will provide an overview on getting ready for your big virtual meeting, all while looking good doing it! Topics covered in this course include preparing yourself mentally, obtaining and using the right equipment, and sparkling through the actual meeting and beyond.
Start your healthcare career in one of the United States’ fastest growing medical professions! During this course, you will learn basic nursing care for nursing home, hospital, and assisted living facilities employment. This course includes lab exercises and supervised practical training or clinical experience in a long-term healthcare facility, meeting the requirements of the Minnesota Department of Health and OBRA. Participants that have successfully completed this course may take the Nursing Assistant Knowledge and Skills Test.
You must be a minimum of 16 years old to enroll in this course.
Attendance is important! Plan on attending every scheduled day and time.
A background check (MN or WI) must be passed before having contact with patients.

A Tuberculin Skin Test (TST) must be completed by the first day of class.
Dress code: Please dress appropriately and professionally when attending class. No low cut, strapless or revealing tops; a bra is required. Closed-toed shoes are required.

The interactive SHRM Learning System provides a roadmap to guide your studies through the entire SHRM Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge™ (SHRM BASK™) which provides the foundation for both SHRM certification exams.
Upcoming Spring 2024 course will begin Tuesday, January 16, at 6:00pm - 8:30pm. This course will be offered as a hybrid class, with options to meet in-person at Century College or virtually online.
Century College Continuing Education and Customized Training is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP® recertification activities.
The Manufacturing Skills Standard Certification (MSSC) Certified Production Technician program recognizes individuals who demonstrate mastery of the core competencies of advanced manufacturing production through successful completion of the certification assessments. This certificate is the gold standard within the manufacturing industry and helps individuals find higher-wage jobs while helping employers ensure their workforce is productive and competent. This is being offered for the first time through Century College as a self-paced course (available January 1, 2024) with access to an MSSC-certified instructor. Participants who prefer a more hands-on experience can choose an instructor-led course with scheduled meeting times.

Attend your class(es) in person, or access your online class through D2L Brightspace. When you enroll in these courses, you receive a user name, password, and login instructions. If you need to access the internet while on Century campus, follow these steps to create a Guest Account.
