Featured Guest Speakers include:

Courtney Godfreya local TV reporter in Minneapolis. One of her greatest joys is telling inspiring stories of everyday people doing extraordinary things. In September 2017, she was involved in a boat accident that resulted in the amputation of her left leg below the knee. Her long road to recovery never once stunted her positivity and drive. Courtney shares with us her story of determination, hope, and advocacy for fellow amputees

Heidi Gunderson is Century’s Outstanding Alumni of 2017 and the first recipient of the STRIVE Scholarship at Century College, awarded to a White Bear Lake student who demonstrated the most improvement in their senior year. A few years into a career in nursing, she pivoted to take an opportunity with the family construction business, Woody's Rebar Co Inc. in Vadnais Heights. After years of navigating a male-dominated industry, she now proudly serves as President and CEO. In 2018, Heidi was also elected Mayor of Vadnais Heights.

Michael Fishercurrent student and scholarship recipient at Century College, studying electrical engineering. Despite a childhood of financial hardship, Michael was determined to attend college, and he steadily continues his studies.  Through Century, he was hired for an internship at Innovize, where he developed an assembly process method that saved the company an average of $50,000 per year in labor costs. Michael is described as “creative, bright and gracious,” and a “very poised, positive person.”
