Century College Scholarship Deadline Extended to May 15
Scholarship applications are accepted annually between February 1 and April 1; but for 2020 only, the submission deadline has been extended to May 15. Review the Scholarship Guide for a complete listing of scholarships and application details.
The scholarship application process is fully online. It is a one-time application. Students will be automatically be applied to all scholarships for which they qualify as determined by the Award Spring tracking and review system. For scholarships with a later deadline go to Award Spring Online to apply.
To apply for a Century College Scholarship, you must provide a copy of your unofficial transcript/academic record, a personal essay, and one or more letters of recommendation (a DARS report is not a transcript). Muskie Tank Challenge - Grand Prize $5,000 in tuition/fees/books
The Muskie Tank Competition is a scholarship program inspired by the ABC TV show, “Shark Tank”™ designed to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among current Century College students.
Interested students should submit an application by May 1st, 2020 in the Century College Scholarship portal - Award Spring. Review the Muskie Tank Web Page for full details, and refer to the Muskie Tank Tackle Box guide to get started. You must be a current student enrolled at Century College to apply.
External Scholarships for Century College Students
Century College students are encouraged to apply for additional scholarships offered by these area foundations.
Established in 2016 in memory of local businessmen Richard Sterbenz and Martin Ryan who wanted to “give kids like them a shot at life they never had.” Between 42-87 scholarships in the amount of $1,500 will be offered to eligible students attending Century College, Metropolitan State University, or WITC. Scholarships are intended to assist traditional and non-traditional students who otherwise may not have the opportunity to attend post-secondary school due to financial constraints. Eligible students should complete the Sterbenz-Ryan Scholarship Application by March 31, 2020. Applicants will be notified in May 2020.
Youth students who are residents of the City of Grant have the opportunity to apply for a scholarship established by the Grant Heritage Days Parade committee. Three one-thousand-dollar scholarships will be awarded to three individuals. Each one thousand dollar scholarship will have two parts. Part A is $500 to be awarded to the recipient to go towards their continuing education and is awarded directly to them. Part B is $500 which the recipient shall direct to be donated to a charity of their choice. The Minnesota Builders Exchange (MBEX) and The Builders Group Education Foundation (TBG) 2020 MBEX/TBG Scholarship Program is now open. Students currently enrolled in construction-related programs at Century may apply for a scholarship. A total of $20,000 in awards will be granted this year, with a top award of up to $5,000. Eligible students must complete the MBEX application by May 31, 2020 (appliacation available April 2020).
Mark M. Welter "100% American" Scholarship. LeadMN is seeking from the Minnesota State colleges and universities nominations for the Mark M. Welter World 100% American Scholarship. Twenty $500 awards (one per college) will be given to Minnesota State students who exemplify and understanding of the interconnected nature of the world, its nations and all people. Nomination forms are due Wednesday, April 1, 2020 to email@example.com.
LeadMN Leadership Scholarships are available to any current student at one of the 37 Minnesota State public colleges or universities (which includes Century College) who have strong leadership skills and a commitment to serving others. Eligible students should complete the Lead MN Application by April 1, 2020 at 11:59 PM to receive funds for fall semester 2020.
