Nora Slawik joined the Century College Foundation as Executive Director in June 2020. She oversees development, alumni, private foundation grants and scholarship programs for the college. She has the privilege of working with a dedicated board of directors, staff and campus leadership. She is involved in many aspects of external relations in the community - building business and industry partnerships. Nora has a BS from Arizona State University in recreation administration with an emphasis on nonprofit management and a MPA from the Humphrey School, University of Minnesota.
Nora leverages her extensive relationship and institutional experience as an east metro seven-term legislator, twice elected mayor of Maplewood and appointee of Governor Walz as the Chair of the Metropolitan Council. Her fundraising background includes working as a Development Officer for the University of Arizona, a campaign manager for the United Way and in events and corporate relations for the Boy Scouts. Nora’s son attended Century College. She values the excellent faculty and strong core classes he completed to transfer to Augsburg College where he finished his degree to become a successful special education teacher.
She spends her free time with her husband and adult children boating and fishing up north, walking around the lakes and biking.
