December 07, 2017Leaders in business, healthcare and manufacturing industries celebrated Century College’s 50th Anniversary at a Continuing Education and Customized Training luncheon on Thursday, December 7.
Jill Greenhalgh, President of Century College’s Foundation kicked off the festivities and thanked the sponsor of the event, HB Fuller Company Foundation. She then introduced Century College President Angelia Millender, who welcomed the guests.
Keynote speaker Cecilia Stanton Adams examined talent retention strategies, and the various levels of employee engagement in the workplace, from basic survival to full engagement and satisfaction in doing a job well. She then visited each table and invited the luncheon guests to discuss methods they use to promote ways to help employees feel valued in their workplaces.
She emphasized that everyone in the organization is a recruiter, and it’s not just the job of the Human Resources Department.
Michael Berndt, Vice President of Academic Affairs discussed the importance of business partnerships. The luncheon concluded with guided tours of Century College’s Digital Fabrication Lab and Orthotics and Prosthetics Lab.
