White Bear Lake, MN –  On Saturday, February 27, Century College TRIO Upward Bound (UB) and TRIO Educational Talent Search (ETS), together with Metro State University’s Upward Bound program hosted 80 high school students and 36 professional volunteers to explore and share information about careers. Students also attended workshops on interviewing, writing resumes, budgeting, financial goal setting, and summer enrichment opportunities.

The three pre-college programs serve students at Como Park, Johnson, Harding, Highland Park High Schools, along with Washington Technology Magnet School.

Federal TRIO programs identify and assist students with need in earning college and post-baccalaureate degrees.   Both Upward Bound (UB) and Educational Talent Search (ETS) programs offer students career exploration opportunities and college advising. 

This is the third year that Century College TRIO Upward Bound and ETS have organized a volunteer career panel for program participants.

Century College is located in White Bear Lake, MN and is one of the largest two-year community and technical college in Minnesota.
