February 02, 2018As of January 2018, Century College has decided to end the mens and womens soccer programs on campus. Previously, the soccer teams participated in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Divison III.
The womens soccer program began competing in 2009, with many alumni who went on to pursue a variety of educational and athletic opportunities.
The mens soccer team has brought many accolades to campus, such as:
2009: NJCAA Region XIII Runner Up; 3 All-Region Team Award Winners
2010: NJCAA Region XIII 3rd Place; 2 All-Region Team Award Winners
2011: NJCAA Region XIII Runner Up; 3 All-Region Team Award Winners; NJCAA National Player-of-the-Week Award Winner
2012: NJCAA Region XIII Runner Up; 3 All-Region Team Award Winners; NJCAA National Player-of-the-Week Award Winner
2013: NJCAA #6 Ranked Team in the Nation; 1st Annual Red River Cup Winners; NJCAA Region XIII Champions; NJCAA District C Champions; NJCAA National Tournament Appearance; 4 All-Region Team Award Winners; Region XIII Player of the Year; Region XIII Coach of the Year; NJCAA National Championship All-Tournament Team Selection; NJCAA 1st Team All-American Award Winner; NJCAA National Player-of-the-Week Award Winner
2014: Nationally ranked in top-10 entire season, reaching as high as #4; Ended the season ranked #8 in NJCAA National Poll; 2nd Annual Red River Cup Winner (18-0 aggregate scoreline, 2-leg series); NJCAA Region XIII Champions (back-to-back champions 2013, 2014); 4 All-Region Team Award Winners; Region XIII Player of the Year; Region XIII Coach of the Year; two NJCAA National Player-of-the-Week Award Winners.
