24/7 online tutoring for Century College students!
Century College offers free tutoring, on demand, through Tutor.com. Tutors are always available, even late at night when your instructor or campus tutors may not be. This tutoring service is easy to use and can be accessed on any device that connects to the internet.
When you log-on to Tutor.com you’ll be able to:
- Connect with over 3,000 qualified tutors
- View replays of previous sessions
- Drop off an essay for review and feedback
- Save your favorite tutors and see their schedule of availability
- Access services from your mobile phone or tablet
Access Tutor.com by logging on to your course page through D2L and selecting Resources and then Tutoring from Tutor.com.

Schedule an In-Person Tutoring Appointment
In-person tutoring takes place in the West Academic Support Center (W2460) or the East Academic Support Center (E2541).
Schedule a Virtual Tutoring Appointment
Virtual tutoring takes place on Zoom. After scheduling your appointment, you will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link.

Tutors Linked to Classes
Tutors Linked to Classes (TLC) is a faculty-driven program that links a tutor to specific English, Math, Reading, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, and Science courses. The TLC Tutor attends the course they are assigned to and provides tutoring specifically to the students in the courses to which they are assigned.

Applying to be a Tutor
Complete the Tutor Employment Application if you are interested in becoming a TLC or peer tutor.
Minimum requirements:
- Grade of B or better in the course
- Faculty recommendation
- During fall and spring semesters, must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credits
- If eligible must have a current FAFSA on file with the college

ESOL Center

Overview
Century College’s ESOL Center consists of a small computer lab and study space inside the computer lab, W3222. Students may also use the West Campus Computer Lab close by in W3165. The ESOL lab assistant and peer tutors are also available to help students connect to appropriate resources in the College, such as the Intercultural Club, financial aid, and multicultural activities
Our ESOL Center assists bilingual and multilingual students in adjusting to college academic and social life. ESOL students can get help with:
- Vocabulary development

- Listening & speaking in English
- American culture

ESOL Advisor
Our ESOL Advisor is available to help any non-native English speaker at Century College, even if you have never taken ESOL classes. If you are struggling with any aspect of college–classes, studying, registration, financial aid–and don’t know where to go, please visit the ESOL Advisor, located in the Advising & Counseling Center on the West Campus in W2410. We can answer your questions and guide you to the right places on campus to get the help you need.

The Online Math Center is now available! To access, please self-register for “Online Math Center” on Desire2Learn.
Overview
The Century College Mathematics Resource Center is available to all Century College students currently enrolled in a Century mathematics course. The Center is staffed by mathematics professionals and qualified tutors available to give you assistance with your daily assignments.
Help is available on a drop-in basis and no appointment is necessary. Century College Students enrolled at any level of mathematics are encouraged to come in for assistance or to study.

Overview
The Science Resource Center offers drop-in tutoring to all Century students taking a science course (tutors currently available for Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Earth Science, Engineering, and Computer Science classes). We also offer course specific Study Group times where tutors guide and classmates lead discussion and work related to the current class material.
We are here for all science students, not just those currently struggling in a course. Use our resources to strengthen your understanding and build a firm foundation on the subject material for success in future courses.
