Transfer Evaluation Process
Non-Degree Seeking/Visiting Student
At Century College, you can choose from a variety of career and technical programs leading directly to employment as well as courses designed to transfer to four-year colleges and universities. You will learn from expert instructors with access to innovative learning opportunities and state-of-the-art facilities.

Each year, nearly 1,000 students apply for a Century College Foundation scholarship. While we awarded over 200 scholarships last year, many students are left empty-handed. With your support, we can ensure more students have the help they need to succeed.
The Continuing Education and Customized Training department can help you to get ahead in your career by offering a variety of non-credit workforce training and development opportunities. Through customized training options, Century College can work directly with employers to meet the training needs of employees.
Century College offers a variety of campus life opportunities to connect with others, gain leadership experience, be involved and have fun. Students can participate or cheer on the Century College Wood Ducks Athletic programs, become active members and leaders on campus or take advantage of campus recreational activities and art and theatre experiences.

Official Transcripts – are required for an official course-by-course evaluation and applying transfer credits to a Century program
Unofficial Transcripts – may be used for prerequisites and placements for registration purposes.
New/Degree Seeking Students – once students have completed online orientation, your transcripts will be routed for an evaluation and you will be notified by email once your evaluation is complete
Returning/Currently Enrolled Students – transcripts are evaluated in the order in which they are received
Non-Degree Seeking/Visiting Students – Transcripts reviewed for placement purposes , but are not evaluated. If this is incorrect, please declare a program/major with the Records Office and connect with Transfer Student Services so we can route your transcript for a full evaluation.
Students have the right to appeal initial transfer credit evaluation decisions.
Before you decide to Appeal: We recommend that you work with your advisor to review your uAchieve Degree Audit Report before submitting an appeal.
To submit a Transfer Course Appeal: Login to eServices and, under “Academic Records” click “Transfer Review” and follow instructions.

College-level credit and courses will be reviewed and considered for transfer using the following criteria:
Minnesota State colleges and universities, the University of Minnesota or other institutions outside the Minnesota State system that fulfills the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) will be accepted at Century based on the completion of the MnTC at the originating college or university.
The University of Minnesota or other institutions outside the Minnesota State system will transfer as:
Courses that are not general education or MnTC will be considered for transfer as:
Courses approved for transfer must be comparable in nature, content, and level and match at least 75% of the content and goals of the course syllabus for which the student is seeking equivalent credit.
If you have been admitted or enrolled at another Minnesota State college or university and you are not planning to complete a degree, diploma or certificate or seek financial aid from Century College, you should not apply to Century College.
How to Get Started
If you are currently attending, or have attended in the past, another college or university (such as the University of St. Thomas, University of Minnesota, or other in or out-of-state university or college), you will need to apply to Century College.
After you complete the course, request a Century College transcript to be sent to your college/university.
